Last night, Active Moms’ Club in collaboration with The Chicago New Moms Group and Dream Dinners hosted a New Year, New You! Mom’s Night Out and it was a huge success. Moms and moms-to-be mixed and mingled, noshed on yummy Dream Dinners food, sipped wine, and relaxed amongst friends – old and new.
More than a mingle, the purpose of the evening – to inspire our moms to approach life with a new attitude and to focus on their nutrition, wellness, and self care. Our moms received useful wellness tips from Linda, founder of The Chicago New Moms Group on how to ‘survive the first year of parenthood’.
As a personal trainer, I shared fitness tips for prenatal and postnatal exercise and five ways to strengthen mom’s core before and after baby. And to end the evening, Dream Dinners shared their time-saving service on how to get nutritious and delicious dinners to the table with minimal effort.
At the end of the evening everyone got a hands on experience to assemble a 3-serving meal to take home. A fun evening was had by all, and today everyone has dinner assembled and ready to cook tonight. Now that’s what I call a multi-tasking night out!
