I’m making lists of my favorite things to share with you this holiday season. As a personal trainer and sport enthusiast, my entire life revolves around fitness. Here are a few of my favorite athletic accessories. And if you need to fill a couple of stockings, the socks would make for a thoughtful gift, for him or for her.

Athleta Capri Tights
The Relay Capri workout pant is my absolute new favorite piece of athletic clothing this year. The capri is soft, comfortable, flattering, doesn’t slip down your hips while working out and has a small zip closure pocket in the back for a key or debit card. I love that the black pant is not shiny, nor can you see skin through the material. I just purchased the Relay long tights for winter, just as flattering and comfortable.
My feet are always cold. I adore the variety of socks from Smartwool, from cozy knee-highs to ankle socks, thick cushion or thin, they make a sock that will fit any of your needs. I especially like their running socks. And yes, you can even wear them in the summer time! A quality sock will give you loads of support, especially if you spend a lot of time on your feet.
Icebreaker Glove Liners
An ideal running glove has to be breathable, light weight, non-bulky and warm. I found all of those elements in Icebreaker’s merino wool glove liners. They are perfect for running, and on extra cold days I will wear them under a pair of mittens.
If your an outdoor runner, the YakTrax Run are a must have. They are anatomically designed to strap on to the bottom of sneakers to give you traction on snow and ice. I like to run in the winter for the fresh air. Now that the snow has arrived, I strap these to my sneakers for my morning runs. I feel safer and can run faster.
SPRI Exercise Tubing
Exercise tubing is a compact workout at home or on the go. You can perform dozens of different exercises for different body parts with one band. I personally use the bands at the gym and it’s our most convenient and efficient piece of equipment for Active Moms’ Club classes.
